Tell Me

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered . . .” ~ Exodus 17: 14- 15

Moses argued with God too. He knew his shortcomings only too well, but God chose him in spite of them and equipped him to not only be a messenger to the Egyptian Pharaoh, but to also lead his people from Egypt and to be instrumental in the forming of the new Israelite nation by writing down God’s law.

I often feel inadequate and intimidated by my shortcomings too. Many times I have felt “slow of speech and tongue” nor eloquent when writing in a card. Yet, the Lord reminds me that he is my Creator just as he was Moses’ and he will instruct me in the words to say.

Prayer: Lord, today, I ask you for wisdom (James 1:5). Please give me the right words to bless & encourage those I am writing today. I ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Today’s Tip:
"Keep up the public relations portion of the church. Send birthday or anniversary cards, write letters, and make phone calls. Write letters to members or just people in the community when they have achieved something or had their names in the news media. Thank people for helping with a function. Write those who have problems or are despondent. Write college students and encourage them to be sure and have a church home in their college town." ~ Bob Hinds.
