Black & White
Today, I decided to “case” a Stampin’ Sister in Christ’s designer’s card. It’s my own version, with my stamps and punches. I’ve heard several arguments about “casing” other’s designs = is it stealing? Or is it adaptive creativity, taking others' ideas and developing new ways to combine and use them? In light of Stampin’ Sisters in Christ challenge devotional for this week, what are your thoughts? What say you Chris Olsen?

Oh I knew the minute I saw it who you cased and I know she'd be honored! You did a beautiful job adding your own touches! So glad you played along with us at SSIC... we love seeing you!
ReplyDeletePretty card, Dolores! I don't know of too many color combos that are any richer and prettier than black and white. As for CASEing, I've never known anyone to be upset as long as credit is given to the person that's been cased. I don't consider it stealing at all if someone CASEs me - I'm flattered! Have a great week :)
